Wonderful to see the piece from BABY. This Broadway season has been stellar…I’m seeing MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG for the 3rd time in late June. Slightly obsessed. A high school friend lives in New Milford, so I’ll urge her to see your show. Wishing Dan a lovely Father’s Day. You are your family are GEMS!
Thanks for yet another interesting issue of Between Flights. I just wanted to pop in and say we loved your show at the Ridgefield Playhouse, and we're excited to see you'll be back in CT in July! Best wishes for a great summer.
Great newsletter Liz! The "Baby" story is one for the books! Which you should write! I hope to see you in PTown later this summer. Will be watching the live stream! 😊
Great memories! Thanks for sharing all of this Liz. Your first broadway show and meeting Dan. What a great time for you. Glad I got to see “ Baby” and your many Ny stage appearances. Also glad I got to see you and Jason reunite at the Rose theatre at Lincoln Center. Best of luck on your many upcoming appearances. Was the “ Baby” segment at The Tony’s when you got that eye migraine? Best of luck with everything and wish Dan a Happy Fathers Day.❤️❤️❤️
The cast album of "Baby" was the first time I heard your incredible voice. I'm sad that I never got to see the show.
"La Cage" pretty much dominated that year. It's sad that a smaller, less flashy show like "Baby" has to depend on winning awards just to have a repectable run (as well as a life afterward.) Even Sondheim and "Sunday" got knocked out.
Thank-you so much for sharing the links! I saw “Baby” on my second trip to New York and loved it! That song you all performed at the Tonys brought back such happy memories! After seeing the show I raved about it to my parents when I got home and, on their next trip to NYC, they went to see it. When it started, with the sex education lesson, my mother later told me that she thought, “I’ll kill him when I get home!” (she was very straight-laced.) Needless to say, she ended up loving it!!! We would often listen to the OBC together - it was one of Mum’s favourite musicals!
Liz! This is really great- i love reading these!!!!
Thank you, John!
Thanks Liz! It worked. Oh dear, I know it’s late so sweet dreams.
Love it. Bob and I are in Flagstaff after a two month trip to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We plan to stream your show on July 6.
Wonderful!
So, so thrilled you will be back at Feinstein’s in SF in September! (Also, Ann’s surprised face in that pic is priceless!)
Me, too!
Wonderful post! You are really good at these! I love reading each one! Happy 40th Anniversary of your Tony nomination!!
❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️
I love this production; the three leads are exceptional. I know Steve gave his blessing to this show and I know why….

It was a season of great shows, each so different.
