Can’t get enough of “Between Flights.”

Liz, I love your 14-song medley, especially the songs by the “Sesame Street” composer. So joyous!

I’ve only been to the York twice. Made special trips in to see CLOSER THAN EVER and STARTING HERE STARTING NOW shows no one does and. Shows that I love. Richard Maltby was in shsn audience. His daughter (I think) was in the show so we got to tell him how marvelous she was. Great little theater to see a musical. How about doing a song from one of those?

I can't even fathom how you did that 14 song production, but it was great.

I read your sister's text on her site and was equally moved. I hope she received my response.

Looking forward to when I can catch another Callaway concert!

I live in Costa Mesa and am coming to see you tomorrow night! Promise me someday you and Ann will record "Corner of the Sky" as it's my favorite of your duets. If you go over to South Coast Plaza try the dim sum place. It's fantastic!

Don't know how I missed you were going to be performing near me tomorrow. :( I checked tickets and you're going to have a great house! I, too, love the York. I had the wonderful experience of co-producing the showcase of Man With a Load of Mischief there years ago. (Would love to hear you sing that score someday!) Everyone connected with the York was so friendly and welcoming -they made me feel incredibly welcome.

Your concert schedule leaves me dizzy! Congratulations to you! And Ann’s words made me weep. My family—husband, son, daughter, and myself—all sing, but Emma is the “professional,” having earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in opera and classical music. She’s since pivoted to American Art Songs and a variety of other music. However, as for so many others since the pandemic, finding work in her field has been a real challenge. I’m sharing Ann’s words with her to remind her of the gift she gives others when she performs. Thank you. Break a leg!

Perhaps this is an overshare but reading this got me choked up a little. I've always loved singing. But no longer in front of anyone. I majored in Musical Theater at the Boston Conservatory. As you know performing arts require opening up the most personal parts of us. That vulnerability isn't always rewarding. My sophomore year I was in musical theater class and during a critique after my song the professor stated, "I just hate your voice." It wasn't a critique of my interpretation of the song. She didn't ask me how I arrived at acting choices that maybe weren't clear. She pronounced that my voice itself was something worth hating. The most destructive moment I ever experienced. Today, I sing every day for myself. I do make my own kind of music. When I sing "Sing" I always tear up on the lyric, "Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear" because maybe it isn't. I love to sing. But mostly I keep it to myself.

Oh Sean, I’m so sorry you experienced that in college- that teacher’s behavior was inexcusable. I’m glad you sing every day. And I’d love to hear you sing. ❤️
