A Song From My Kitchen

I wanted to share a song with you for Thanksgiving- my friend John Bucchino’s “Grateful.” Though I filmed this a few Thanksgivings ago, the sentiment bears repeating.

Postcards From My Trip

I just returned from a wonderful trip to Madrid, where I did three performances of my Sondheim show at the beautiful Teatro Real. I was joined by my one-man orchestra, Alex Rybeck, and my son, Nicholas, who sang “Move On” with me.

I wasn’t sure how the faster patter songs would go over with my Spanish-speaking audience, but the two women in charge of subtitles did a tremendous job. The first night I got to Madrid, we ran through the show so they could rehearse the subtitles. Here's a (very) rough snippet of “Another Hundred Lyrics.”

After our opening night, there was a reception (with lots of Cava!) It was a lovely surprise to see my Sondheim album cover on display throughout the room. I couldn’t resist posing in front of one with Alex and Nicholas.

Yes, Nicholas is VERY tall.

Where in the World is Liz?

I’m happy to be home for a few weeks before I hit the road again.
